The Freethought Film Festival Foundation is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, educational organization. Our mission is to promote reason, critical thinking and freedom of inquiry through the medium of film.
Description
Our biggest project to carry out our mission is the production of the International Freethought Film Festival; an annual event that features independent films annually submitted to us by filmmakers. The film festival is a celebration of having the basic human right and civil liberty to express freethought concepts, and to educate the public on the importance of using reason and science (void of superstitions) to explain our natural world and improve upon the human condition. The International Freethought Film Festival has proven to be a breakthrough for a freethought niche in film, and has inspired freethinkers to embrace a new medium for promoting reason, critical thinking and freedom of inquiry. We feel strongly that rationalistic and artistic are not mutually exclusive.

Last Week for Student Film Submission Fee Waivers

This is the last week that student film submission fees are waived for entries to The International Freethought Film Festival. Monday, November 1st is the last day. When submitting, choose the waiver option if your film meets the qualifications for the student categories.
