Confession of a jury member at Lodz Cinergia - part 1

I am coming to Lodz for the very first time. 2hours 20 trip from Paris airport. Second visit to Poland energetical festivals this year (following OFF PLUS CAMERA).

Mariola Wiktor who runs the XVI Forum of European Cineam Cinergia invited me as a jury member. We first met in Cannes in the busy gathering of festival directors and wine tasting. You imagine how busy that can have been. Lucky outcome we decided about this role in the festival jusging newcomers from Europe, I also contributed to programming Gary Lucas performance, guitar live score to Spanish Dracula (1931)

Plane, guardian angel to meet me at the airport, two hours drive from Chopin airport in Warsaw to Lodz (pronounce something like wudz) say tak tak tak for thank you so much (or just tak tak).

Check-in at Grand Hotel, well you CHECK MY ROOM (an apartment rather)!

Lunch at 6.20 (first vodka at 7.00) You should try the bouillon mit ei soup with sausage and potatoe!

Then first film at 7.30

I cant comment yet on these.

See you for Day 2 (nov 10)
