AOF Festival turns into a full blown television program.

In a bold move, the AOF Festival or Action On Film International Film Festival as it has come to be known over the last seven years has made a risky move to transition from a simple, successful international film event into a full blown television program.

AOF Channel Executive Producer and financier Doug Fawell said, 'The only thing that matters is content. We've seen the traditional models of distribution begin to crumble at their own foundations. What matters now and always is the content.' Fawell went on to add, 'You can have the best looking HD television in the world, but without good content, it's nothing more than a paperweight. We've got content from some of the best filmmakers and writers in the world."

After a successful run of six star studded seasons -and now in their seventh- the creators of the AOF Festival decided it was time to launch into the broadcast market with a groundbreaking program that featured the best in everything independent film.

Festival Creator and show Executive Producer Del Weston went on the record when he said recently, 'If anyone thinks that the internet is the last bastion of salvation for the independent filmmaker, they are just kidding themselves. Who wants to use their passion, talent, drive and resources to give away what they create for free or to make a bad deal with some distributor who is going to rob them blind?' Weston went on to say, 'I've seen so many filmmakers who have worked years to break into the industry only to end up in obscurity with nothing but a broken dream. That's not good enough for us. We want to help filmmakers to be seen, heard and given a shot. That's what the AOF has always been about."

In season one of the new show which will air on NBC Late Night in the mecca of film, Los Angeles, the AOF Channel will feature the award winning work of Ben Wagner, Brian Lonano, Isaac Florentine, Mollye Asher, Susan Hippen, Jesse V. Johnson, Giovanni Zelko, Aaron Kurmey, Diana Lee Inosanto, Tanay Ulgen, Johnny Roc, Aaron Au and many others.

The show will also feature with work of filmmakers from all over the globe as well as celebrities like Sons of Anarchy's Kim Coates, Last Man Standing's RD Call, Indiana Jones' Anthony De Longis and many others.

Show Producer Theresa Coscarelli said, 'I've been working with these people for nearly ten years now and the AOF is a family of people who have come together to help one another live their dreams and tell their stories."

The AOF Channel will begin airing Saturday March 19, 2011 on NBC Los Angeles after Saturday Night Live but before the hit poker show, Poker After Dark.
