Be forewarned! Today at 17:30h at the Culture House Cinema the 6th Grossmann Film and Wine Festival in Ljutomer, Slovenia, will finally begin! The Mighty Cat will introduce itself with the opening of the exhibiton of caricatures by Jakša Vlahović and photos from the last year's Zombie Walk by Edvard Pintarič, accompanied by the Monster Feast installation by Šlosart. At 18:00h there will be a presentation of the winemakers competing for the prestigious Vicious Cat Wine Champion award at the symbolic wine road. Radgonske Gorice will present the Tiger Wine, Puklavec & Friends will offer Furmint and Yellow Muscat, Tourist-Vinecultural Farm Hlebec will fill the glasses with Zweigelt while Kos Vinery will seduce you with Yellow Muscat. At 19:00h, the time will come for our film program with Živojin Pavlović's and Dinko Tucaković's The State of the Dead which you will at last be able to see in Slovenia. Another exclusive Slovenian premiere will come in the form of the brand new Vitomir Kaučič film Winepires: The Ice Harvest, a stellar additon to Slovenian fantastic cinema.
At 23:30h we will move to the City Cinema where there will be a screening of the documentary Censored Without Censorship by Milan Nikodijević and this year's president of the Vicious Cat Jury Dinko Tucaković, who will also announce the movie along with our old friend and supporter Slobodan Šijan. The first batch of fierce short films in competition for this year's Slak's Vicious Cat award that will start to roar at 23:30h will close the Monday's film program at the City Cinema.
With the screening of short films and a live performance by Rok Predin at 23:00 at bar Klub this year's music program wil begin, also featuring the premiere musical rendition of the melodramatic horror fairy tale Heart Plunger with Ludvik Bagari and alter jazz veterans Na Lepem Prijazni.
