Dimension 3

Dimension 3 2011 reaffirms its ambition to offer a networking platform, by gathering together professionals who offer new tools, products or services and those who are looking for solutions or new practices in the field of images, from creation to visualization. Efforts should be made to avoid trivialization and give creation a prestigious image, be it stereoscopic 3D, mixed reality, haptic technologies, ultra-high resolution, etc.
 Technology should make images smarter, but also continue to be a vector for emotions: creators must hold a prominent position at the center of this issue. In this perspective, Dimension 3 new edition also provides a place for young creators to showcase their talents, offering opportunities and creating vocations. This year's event is spread out across two venues, one of which is dedicated to the ecosystem of images from filming to visualization, the other to new uses and talents.

Special Event May 24 to support creation
During the first part of the Festival evening, The Orange 3D creation Workshops grand final - under the aegis of Xavier Couture!
Orange grants support european S3D projects with 50.000 euros grants and a 50.000 euros grant extra for the finalist.
Orange Workshops aims to encourage the production of value-added content creative and technology. They reward 50.000 EUR for the most S3D promising projects in five categories : fiction / animation, documentaries, games, sports, music / performing arts. One of five winners will benefit from an aid of 100,000 EUR euros in total
from Orange.

A premiere European
✓ A jury composed of people from the audiovisual markets will award Dimmy's Trophies during Dimension 3 Festival evening
✓ ...An evening with a festive dimension (surprises and VIP guests)
✓ The award ceremony will be captured in S3D with the goal to create a media event (the first Festival Live filmed S3D in Europe )
✓ Screenings of a programs selection in one of the auditoriums of the Forum > May 25 and 26th
