Volunteers

The Cambodia International Film Festival welcomes both national and international volunteers to help us create a world-class event. There are volunteer positions available in many areas. Some require experience, such as venue managers, ticket sellers and equipment assistants. Other positions can be filled with enthusiastic helpers.

Once we receive a volunteer application, we decide which position is best suited for that individual, and contact them by email. For international volunteers, they should be able to arrive in Phnom Penh no later than October 19, 2010. Some positions may require an earlier arrival. All applications should be submitted in English.

Each volunteer is issued festival credentials and a uniform. Training is provided; the time and place for training is given when an application is accepted. At completion of the festival, volunteers will receive a written letter of reference. A summary of positions is below. Special skills may not be individually listed, but volunteer applicants are encouraged to list any specialization on their application form.

Volunteer Positions
VENUE OPERATIONS
Each theatre and venue requires a team of ticket sellers, ticket takers, crowd control, seat ushers and a manager.

HEADQUARTERS
Our headquarters requires staff to register participants, distribute badges, sell tickets and merchandise, provide programs, keep inventory and handle press inquiries.

HELPERS
We need people to help set up equipment, move materials and complete various tasks as needed.

GUESTS & VIP RELATIONS
This position is open to anyone with experience providing personal assistance to celebrities, government officials, business managers, etc.
