Renault Latitude, the official car of the Cannes Film Festival for 28th time

Renault has been the unique Official automotive manufacturer Partner of the Cannes Film Festival for 28 years.

From May 11 to 22, 2011 the glittering diamond of the elegantly styled Renault Latitude notchback will be the focus of photographers as the car escorts actors and personalities to the feet of the famous red carpeted stairs.

Inside, Latitude immediately inspires a feeling of plenitude through its focus on passenger well-being. Ensconcing occupants in a unique temporal, climatic and musical world, Latitude is powered by engines that are ideal for long-distance travel far from the madding crowd.

With its harmonious and generous proportions, powerful-looking front end and robust and dynamic rear end, Latitude has established a clear lead over its rivals.

L'Atelier Renault, an essential venue on the Majestic 64 beach

For the fourth consecutive year, L'Atelier Renault on the Champs-Elysées in Paris is taking up residence on the Majestic 64 beach. Every day from 10 am to 6 pm, L'Atelier Renault will be welcoming personalities, film teams and media professionals a stone's throw away from the Palais des Festivals.

Renault and Les Toiles Enchantées

Renault is also working with the Les Toiles Enchantées association represented by French actor and director Alain Chabat, loaning vehicles to transport projection equipment and association members. Hospitalized children in the Cannes region will be able to take part in the festival by attending world-premier film screenings.

Renault loves film

Starting with the first film of the Lumière brothers in which Louis Renault was filmed driving his Type A voiturette and the first cinema studios built in Billancourt between 1885 and 1898 alongside Renault factories, the story between Renault and the "seventh art" has lasted more than a century.

Renault is passionate about all forms of cinema, supporting numerous festivals and institutions including the Cannes Film Festival, the Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma (which organizes the César awards and the Les Nuits en Or short film event), and the film festivals of Deauville, Alpe d'Huez, Marrakesh, London, San Sebastian and Valladolid. In over 110 years, thousands of Renault cars have driven stars to sets and red carpets around the world.

Renault also works in movie and television production in France and internationally by lending out cars. Renault vehicles have taken part in spectacular stunts and classic moments alongside actors in major films such as And God Created Woman, A View to a Kill and The Visitors, and more recently in Rush Hour 3 and Une Affaire d'Etat (State Affairs).

Renault continues its commitment to film and television productions through an active policy of partnerships and product placement (more than 150 features and shorts in 2010).

Renault was created in France over 110 years ago and has been active on international markets ever since. It designs, develops, manufactures and sells a broad range of vehicles through a network of 350 industrial and commercial sites in 118 countries. Its full range of electric vehicles accessible to all is the standard-bearer of its environmental commitment. The Group is aiming for leadership in CO2 emissions thanks to its zero emission* product line and new generation of combustion engines. The average emissions of its European product range, currently at 137 g/km, will drop to 120g/km in 2013 and below 100g/km in 2016. Today's Renault features innovation for all, top-quality products and services and a new design philosophy.

The company continues to pursue its strategy of profitable growth with its associated brands, Dacia and Renault Samsung Motors. The Renault group employs 121,000 people worldwide, reported net revenues of €38,971 million and sold more than 2,6 million vehicles in 2010.
