In addition to its traditional "Ready for Distribution" and market features, in 2013, FMM in partnership with the Chinese Sichuan TV Festival and the New York-based LGMA will launch the first ever multilingual "Format competition", aimed at finding new talent from emerging markets like China and Latin America.
The 6th Annual Global Conference will take place from January 30th through February 3rd, 2013, at the beautiful Shelborne Hotel in the Historic Art Deco district of Miami Beach.

"I am delighted that China and Latin America will join forces to develop their own world-class formats through the competitions set up by our partners," said Maritza Guimet, CEO of FMM"These competitions will efficiently complement FMM's efforts to find distribution for our numerous Ready for Distribution independent filmmakers, coming to our established workshops."

The 6th Annual Florida Media Market Conference takes place from January 30th to February 3rd 2013.

This is open to the public, filmmakers and entertainment professionals abroad. With the backdrop of Miami Beach & Art Deco District, our “The Bridge To The World” conference will offer opportunities never seen before!

Our competitions: “Format Day” teaches willing writers and program designers how to best invent and write a killer format. Design your idea for an Entertainment show or scripted idea able to travel in many countries and you will be able to meet Broadcasters eager to buy the best formats and Designers eager to write the best future formats. “Ready for Distribution” builds a platform where independent film & media makers meet international buyers, distributors and production companies to buy, sell and network. “Great Goddess Mujer Woman” (GMW) is also a part of this competition targeting women from various cultures, ethnicities, and races, to empower the female filmmaker.
