BucharEST Film Fest's blog

Sunday, 29th March, within the closing gala of the 5th edition of B-EST IFF, presided by the Director of the Festival, Dana Dimitriu Chelba and film critic, Irina Margareta Nistor, the Festival awarded the following:

3 Lifelong Achievment Awards to actors Gheorghe Dinica, Adela Marculescu
and Radu Beligan.

Short Film:
LUNGUL DRUM SPRE CASA (d. Anamaria Chioveanu) won Best Student Short, while EL ATAQUE DE LOS ROBOTS DE NEBULOSA-5 (d. Ghema Garcia Ibarra) was deemed Best Short.

Documentary
The jury comprised of Irina Margareta Nistor, Laurentiu Damian and Horia Murgu awarded a special mention for SUPERMEN OF MALEGAON (d. Faiza Ahmad Khan), while the Best Documentary was THEY CAME TO PLAY (d. Alexandru Rotaru).

Feature Film:
Audience Award - ABSURDISTAN (d. Veit Helmer)

The Jury- Mircea Bunescu, Alin Ludu Dumbrava, Pjer Zalica, Andrei Plakhov
and Nik Powell (President of the Jury) awarded the following:

Special Mention- KENISHI MORIMOTO for his part in MONSIEUR MORIMOTO (d. Nicola Sornaga)

Best Cinematography - GIORGI BERIDZE (for Absurdistan)

Best Script- RADU JUDE & AUGUSTINA STANCIU (Cea mai fericita fata din lume/ The happiest Girl in the World)

Best Director- BOULI LANNERS (Eldorado)

B-EST IFF Trophy - ELDORADO (d. Bouli Lanners)
