Blagovest-Media includes Christian TV and video production and distribution center "Blagovest Media", based in St. Petersburg. The main target is assisting the dialogue between the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, propagating common Christian values and developing a Christian mass-media network. Blagovest Media work received the blessing and support of the Pope Benedict XVI (personal meeting in 2007). The priority of the TV company Blagovest Media is the work in three directions: 1. The distribution of world Christian films and programs to Russian TV channels and the distribution of Russian Christian TV products to TV channels in Western Europe and in Americas. 2. The production of original films and programs. 3. The co-production of films and programs. Blagovest-Media produces documentaries on the history and modern problems of the Russian Orthodox and Catholic Churches, covering various aspects of missionary and social outreach, and focusing on the inter-denominational relations between sister Churches. The films of Blagovest-Media are broadcast in more than 20 countries, awarded at many international forums and festivals, including the award from the Patriarch Alexy II at the I International Festival “Faith and Word” in Moscow, 2005, special prizes at the Film Festival “Religion Today” in Italy and awards in USA, Poland and other countries. Blagovest Media documentaries reveal the forgotten pages of history, culture and philosophy of the Church and the world humanistic culture. Geographical borders do not limit the work of Blagovest Media.
