Emerging designers and veterans from around the world showcased their 2009 Spring Summer collections.

Mercedes-Benz Fashiion Week was presented by IMG Fashion. The sponsors were Mercedes-Benz, DHL, American Express, MAC Cosmetics, Judith Ripka, YKK, W Hotels Worldwide, Havaianas, TRESemme, BlackBerry T-Mobile USA Inc., OfficeMax, Seoul Metropolitan Government, LU Biscuits, Evian, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Rioja Wines, Imperia Vodka, Chambord, BAWLS Guarana, The New York Times, Women's Wear Daily, Full Frontal Fashion, ULTRA HD, Getty Images, and The Insider.

This year's 85 shows included celebrations of DKNY 20th Anniversary, Calvin Klein 40th Anniversary, and The Wizard of Oz 70th Anniversary (Ruby Red Slipper exhibition).

The World Show Premiere of Patricia Field Destination Style New York, iconic 1970s women's wear collection designed by Patricia Field and David Dalrymple was held at the Edison Ballroom, Saturday, September 6, 2008. Patricia Field Spring 2009 guests included industry executives, directors, producers, designers, artists, performing artist, actors, musicians, celebrities, and press.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week debut of Carolina Herrera Spring Summer 2009 collection was held at the Tent in Bryant Park, New York, Monday, September 8, 10:00 AM. Fashion designer Carolina Herrera featured exquisite ruffled cocktail dresses and glamorous gowns with color contrast of marigold, black, vanilla, teal, persimmons, and hibiscus. Carolina Herrera Spring 2009 guests included industry executives, directors, producers, designers, artists, actors, performing artists, musicians, and press.
