The 31st College Music Journal Music Marathon & Film Festival 2011 (CMJ 2011) was held at venues, theaters, and nightclubs throughout New York City, October 18-22, 2011. Founded by Joanne Abbot Green, executive producer of CMJ Network, Inc., the festival annually presents the best in new music from around the world. This year’s festival showcased over 1,300 artist performances, film premieres, panel discussions, seminars, awards ceremony, after parties, and special events. CMJ2011 attendees included musicians, recording artists, DJs (disc jockeys), filmmakers, producers, promoters, remixers, college radio programmers, managers, industry executives, CMJ patrons, and members of the press.

CMJ 2011 Press Mixer presented by Big Pictures Media commenced Wednesday, October 19, 6:00PM - 8:00PM at the Hudson Hotel, New York. Members of the press, industry professionals, festival panelists, musicians, and filmmakers attended this outstanding networking event.

CMJ 2011 Official Showcase at District 36, New York, commenced Wednesday, October 19, 8:00PM. Sponsored by Galaza, DonQ, Monster, Americana, and Bandai Namco Games, featured talent included JR Junior, Shawn Chrystopher, Caspa Narkz and DJ Phoecus. Industry executives, recording artists, and CMJ festival patrons attended this superb event.

CMJ 2011 Moderator & Panelist Appreciation Mixer commenced Thursday, October 20, 6:00PM - 8:00PM at Forty Four in the Royalton Hotel, New York. This extraordinary networking event was attended by festival panelists and moderators as well as industry professionals.
