The Body & SOUL Annual 2012 Martin Luther King (MLK) dance music celebration presented by JD Productions John Davis with world renown resident DJs Joaquin "Joe" Claussell, Francois “K” Kevorkian, and Danny Krivit was held at the historical Webster Hall ballroom, New York, Sunday, January 15, 6:00 PM. Attendees included artists, disk jockeys, industry professionals, and dance patrons.

The power and importance of music, the universal language was evident at Body & SOUL MLK 2012 dance music celebration. The ambiance truly expressed freedom in the dance. Everybody was in harmony on the dance floor, people smiling, dancing, and simply having fun. The DJs performance was nothing short of outstanding. The evening began with instrumental and jazzy sounds spun by Joe Clausell such as the phenomenal track “Gautes-Margjit,” by Jan Garbarek Group reminding me of The Loft. Their playlist included “Mysteries of the World,” by MSFB, “Spank,” by Jimmy “Bo” Horne with DJ Danny Krivit; “The Message,” by King Sunny Ade, and the classic 1974 “Welcome to the Club,” by Blue Magic with Francois K.
