The 10th International Cloud Expo New York commenced June 11-14, 2012 at Javits Convention Center, New York.  Produced by SYS-CON Media, sponsored by Dell, Eucalyptus, Oracle, Rackspace Hosting, RightScale, SHI International, SOA Software and many others, Cloud Expo annually showcase the latest in cloud computing (synonymous with computing and software on the web) technology from Infrastructure to Platform to Software as a Service.

This year’s Cloud Expo New York featured keynote presentations, seminars, workshops, exhibitors show floor, special events, receptions, debut of Big Data Expo and Pavilion. Over 5,000 International delegates, sponsors, and exhibitors participated in this highly successful technological event. The exceptional and highly innovative cloud computing four days event included:  

Cloud Bootcamp Presentation “How is Cloud Computing Evolving?,” on Monday, June 11, 10:45am. Moderated by Larry Carvalho of RobustCloud with leading expert speakers President Jason Bloomberg, ZapThink, and coder, iron Foundry organizer Adron Hall TIER 3, discussed the advancement of PaaS (Platform as a Service), and fundamental characteristics of cloud computing re-architecture enterprise IT on the Web with Representational State Transfer (REST) and Hypermedia as the Engine of Application State (HATEOAS).

General Session “Fuel Your Cloud with Metered, Virtualized Middleware,” on Monday, June 11, 4:20pm. Presented by NextAxiom co-founders Ash Massoudi and Sandy Zylka discussed metered pay as you go model such as hyper service platform; open source Software as a Service, and Component as a Service. 

General Session “Executing Enterprise Clouds,” on Monday, June 11, 6:35pm. Presented by Terremark VP Sales Engagement Scott Thomas reviewed Hybrid Cloud Architecture and introduced a live case study for a leading financial services organization. 

“2012 Cloud Expo New York After Party” sponsored by CoreSite and Interxion commenced Tuesday, June 12, 7:30pm at Ink48, New York. Despite the rain, this powerful networking event attended by International IT executives at the luxurious rooftop lounge served hors d'oeuvres accompanied by live DJ session with world class DJ Jamm, and giveaways.
