Divi Resorts Hosts Kim Cattrall, Filmmaking Industry Dignitaries and Media at an Exclusive After-Party

On Saturday night, June 11, 2011, the Divi Resorts group hosted a select assembly of international media and film industry guests for an exclusive cocktail social sponsored by Moet & Chandon at its Windows on Aruba restaurant. The social, which was attended by Golden Globe Award–winning actress and Sex & The City star, Kim Cattrall, was an official after-party for the 2nd Annual Aruba International Film Festival that immediately followed the screening of a new film.

"It has been an honor for us to host Kim Cattrall and these VIP guests at Windows on Aruba and to support Aruba's blossoming Film Festival," said Alex Nieuwmeyer, Managing Director of Divi Resorts Aruba and Bonaire. "This was an excellent way for us to spotlight our exquisite Windows on Aruba restaurant as well as Divi Resorts properties on Aruba to members of the press and influential film industry VIPs."

In addition to Moet & Chandon champagnes, the event included an open bar with a full selection of wine, beer and cocktails as well as hors d'oeuvres including tuna tataki, lobster shooters and braised lamb chops as well as award-winning dessert samplers which were passed around by waitstaff circulating throughout the venue. Festival Founder and Executive Producer Jonathan Vieira treated the crowd to a performance of "Hallelujah," which he sang while playing the keyboard. Shortly thereafter, Aruban acrobatic troupe, the Tamarijn Acrobats, kept everyone enthralled by their daring acrobatics, creative presentation and whimsical costumes. As a testament to the success of the event, guests enjoyed networking, mixing and mingling with each other well into the early morning hours.

For Film Festival attendees who chose to stay at the Divi Aruba All Inclusive, the Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusive or the Divi Village All Inclusive Villas, the properties offered free room upgrades that provided even more value to guests. At the time of booking, the person making the reservation needed only to mention the promotional code "FILM" to receive a free upgrade. The first 15 reservations were eligible to attend the exclusive VIP cocktail party at Windows on Aruba, where they could mingle with the stars.

Windows on Aruba is a fully glass-enclosed, air conditioned restaurant built in the round that features sweeping panoramic views of The Links at Divi Aruba 9-hole golf course and the picturesque Caribbean beyond. Divi Resorts boasts a total of five properties on Aruba, including the Divi Village Golf & Beach Resort, Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort, Divi & Tamarijn Aruba All Inclusives and the Divi Dutch Village Resort. All properties have direct access to expansive white sandy beaches and a variety of packages.
