Go!

Go!

Synopsis

Christmas in Los Angeles. Ronna is about to be evicted and is working for Simon - off to Las Vegas with some friends - in a supermarket trying to make some money fast. Simon, once in Las Vegas ends up quickly in trouble involved in a theft, fire and murder. And then there is Claire is also replacing Simon at his dealer job. Add the police trying to trick Ronna and Claire into leading them to Simon and the catastrophic situation becomes comic. Every man and woman for themselves...

The screenwriter, John August spent two year working on the scenario, hanging around "Rock'n'Roll Ralphs" supermarket on Sunset Boulevard for inspiration.

Doug Liman, after Swingers, had several propositions from the big studios, but he liked Augusts story and decided to direct it.

Doug Liman
"It's a poignant story that is both funny and optimistic. The characters have depth. And they make irrational decisions that lead them in amazing directions. That's youth for you."

Sara Polley who plays Ronna
"The movie reflects our period in time. It portrays the atmosphere typical of our generation, our rhythm, problems and chance. Nowadays, the comic side is necessary to go beyond and not end up being crazy!"

Go! Was filmed in 7 weeks in Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and mostly at night.
