ULEE'S GOLD
Ulee Jackson, un apiculteur solitaire, est un ancien combattant brisé par la mort de sa femme et l'effondrement de sa famille. Avec son fils Jimmy en prison et sa belle-fille Helen en cavale depuis plus de deux ans, Ulee a dû s'occuper de ses deux petites-filles. Le trio mène une existence paisible, quoique étriquée, jusqu'à ce qu'un coup de fil de Jimmy vienne tout changer. Helen est en danger, et seul Ulee peut la ramener.
Ulee Jackson, a solitary beekeeper and war veteran, is devastated by his wife's death and the collapse of his family. With his son Jimmy in jail and his daughter-in-law, Helen, run off now for almost two years, Ulee has had to become a caretaker for his two granddaughters. The trio lives an ordered, if somewhat narrow, life until a call from Jimmy changes everything. Helen is in trouble, and only Ulee can fetch her home.

Victor Nunez
Né en 1945, Victor Nunez fait ses études à Antioch College, puis obtient un diplôme de l'UCLA. Il travaille comme metteur en scène, scénariste, caméraman et monteur sur de nombreux films éducatifs et d'entreprise, et enseigne la mise en scène à l'université de Floride. En 1975, il décide de se concentrer entièrement à la réalisation. Il réalise quatre courts métrages de 1968 à 1976 : "Fairground", "Taking Care of Mother Baldwin", "Charly Benson's Return to the Sea" et "A Circle in the Fire". En 1979, il réalise son premier long métrage "Gal Young Un", avant de connaître son premier véritable succès critique avec "Ruby in Paradise" en 1992. "Ulee's Gold" est son quatrième long métrage.
Born in 1945, Victor Nunez studied at Antioch College, later receiving a diploma from UCLA. He worked as a director, screenplay writer, cameraman and editor on a number of educational and industrial films as well as taught filmmaking at the University of Florida. In 1975, he decided to devote his energies entirely to filmmaking. He made four shorts from 1968 - 1976 : "Fairground", "Taking Care of Mother Baldwin", "Charly Benson's Return to the Sea" and "A Circle in the Fire". In 1979, he made his first feature film "Gal Young Un", but was not acclaimed by the critics until "Ruby in Paradise in 1992. "Ulee's Gold is his fourth feature film.
