THE LOCUSTS
Le Kansas rural, 1960. Un étranger pénètre dans un bar et se fraie un chemin jusqu'au comptoir. Sa présence énerve un employé de ranch dont la petite amie a repéré le bel arrivant. Une bagarre éclate entre les deux hommes. Un autre homme s'interpose et offre son aide à l'étranger avant de le conduit jusqu'au ranch de Mme Potts où il pourra se faire un peu d'argent avant de continuer sa route.
Clay Hewitt est ainsi présenté à Delilah Ashford Potts. Il est embauché pour travailler avec les autres hommes au ranch, mais Mme Potts est loin de se douter de l'impact qu'aura la présence de ce nouvel arrivant sur la vie du ranch...
Rural Kansas, 1960. A drifter wanders into a local bar and weaves his way through a group of locals. His presence ignites the temper of a drunken ranch hand whose flirtatious girlfriend spots the handsome stranger. A fight breaks out between them. Another man steps in to break it up. He offers his help to the drifter and takes him up to Mrs. Potts' cattle feedlot where he can work for some money to take him to the next stop of his journey.
Delilah Ashford Potts is introduced to the drifter known as Clay Hewitt. He'll work the feedlot with the rest of the men, but unlike the others, he will have an impact she cannot predict...

John Patrick Kelley
John Patrick Kelley naît et grandit à Kansas City dans le Missouri. Il commence par écrire "The Locusts" sous forme de pièce pendant ses études à l'université du Kansas et continue à développer l'histoire à la New York University Film School. Il écrit ensuite "Pretty Boy Floyd" et une adaptation du roman d'Anne Rice, "The Witching Hour" pour Richard Donner. "The Locusts" est son premier long métrage.
John Patrick Kelly was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He began writing "The Locusts" as a play during his studies at the University of Kansas and continued to develop the story while at the New York University Film School.
He then wrote "Pretty Boy Floyd" and an adaptation of Anne Rice's book "The Witching Hour" for Richard Donner. "The Locusts" is his first feature film.
