  PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Forget it. There are buses and trains and even a controversial monorail serving the Darling Harbour complex, but taxis are cheap enough to avoid the public system. The exceptions are ferries and hydrofoils on the harbour, which offer a breezy and effective transport/sightseeing alternative.
