There will be a book signing by the author at Neiman Marcus on Thursday, November 30 from 5-7pm. Highlighting the Complicated Women series will be a special event screening of the French film The Venus Beauty Institute, directed by Tonie Marshall which swept the French Oscars.

Youth-In-Film Program

As a way of providing Nevada youth with a unique and significant cultural experience, CineVegas will present films specifically for young people ages 12 - 18. Students are bussed to the screenings through the Clark County Partnership Program. Rural Nevada youth from Elko and Ely are also coming, through the donation of a bus from Frontier Tours and the Nevada Commission on Tourism. FAO Schwartz, Aspen Youth Services and Station Casinos are major sponsors of this program.

Youth-oriented films that will be screened during the Festival include Not One Less (China), Legacy (USA) and Mum and the Policeman (Sweden).

Nevada is not a Wasteland!

In addition, a video competition with the theme Nevada is not a Wasteland! will be held. Students participating in the competition must be between the ages of 12 and 18 and a resident of Nevada.
