adds up for Filmwave

| Filmwave Pictures has arrived in Cannes with the newest product
from its multi-picture distribution deal with 7.23 Productions and the
elements in place for a new picture of its own called Good Hope.
Good Hope, a Filmwaves production is to be directed by George Butler, and is being pre-sold at this year's Cannes. Isabella Rosselini has expressed serious interest in the lead role of a plantation owner in Jamaica whose husband's death prompts the visit of a New York-based insurance investigator. The insurance investigator falls in love with the woman, only to discover that life in Jamaica is more complex than it, at first, appears. A male lead for the $6.5 million budgeted film is expected to be announced soon. The film will be shot on location in the interior of Jamaica. With the newest films from 7.23 – Shark in a Bottle and Nowhere Land
– Filmwave's Adam Fast said that he and partner Christopher J Fries expect
their ongoing agreement with the production company to continue to yield
successful returns.
Shark in a Bottle stars Danny Nucci, Ben Gazzara, Heip Thi Le and Tommy Tiny Lister in a story of an unhappy postal worker framed for murders he did not commit. Recruited by a security company, his memory is erased and replaced with the tools to become a cold-blooded killer. With the help of a new love, his identity is recovered. Nowhere Land, the fifth picture in the 7.23 deal, stars Peter Dobson as an FBI agent who fears for his safety when set to testify against a mobster. Secluded in a remote cabin, the agent's superior brings in a woman (Dina Meyer) to keep him company. From ulterior motives, true love evolves, and the ending is far from anyone's expectations. JS |
