| The first major award connected to the Cannes Film Festival has
been announced, and it goes to Pamela Anderson for a highly praised for
its gritty realism and visceral self-expression. The actress has been named
Best Female Actress in an Adult Feature for her starring role in the eponymous
Pam & Tommy Lee: Hardcore & Uncensored, by Internet Entertainment
Group (IEG).
The Hot d'Or Award is to be on 18 May as part of the annual Hot d'Or Film Awards for erotic videos and film stars. The event is to out-draw the equally edgy Cannes Film Festival, but, surprisingly, Anderson has made no mention of to the Cote d'Azur to accept prestigious award. Nevertheless, industry toppers have not given up hope that the actress will put in an appearance to pick up what is likely to be her first commendation for an on-screen performance. |

Some of the international sales people at Cannes are taking their work pretty seriously: Rhys Kelly of Southern Star has the responsibility of selling the debut feature from Ana Kokkinos, which is screening in the Directors' Fortnight section, where Proof and Muriel's Wedding were launched. Melbourne-made film features a dramatic credit sequence in black and red, and the ever-plucky Kelly has had her hair dyed black and red in a sort of chequerboard effect, and has had it trimmed short in order to accentuate it. that really is commitment! ***** They Said...allegedly The Full Monty! If I had wanted to see five fat British asses, I'd
have rented the Spice Girls movie on video.
The boat sank. Get over it.
I was street smart - but unfortunately the street was Rodeo Drive. Carrie Fisher At the very least, this Oscar should tell you it has damn stunning
subtitles!
I was the nasty one that sat in the toilets and smoked - and made
other girls cry.
