Fipresci, the international federation of international film critics, announced that Australian film critic David Stratton is to preside this year's Fipresci Jury.
The jury further consists of Claude Beylie (France), Teresa Brdeckova (Czech Republic), Attila Dorsay (Turkey), Angelika Kettelhack (Germany), Mikaela Kindblom (Sweden), Magda Mihailescu (Romania), Hide Murakawa (Japan), Eugenia Tirdatova (Russia), Bruno Torri (Italy), and Tomas Perez Turrent (Mexico). Jury secretary is Philippe J Maarek from France.
The jury will award two prizes: the International Critics Prize for the Competitive Section, and the International Critics Prize for the other sections.
Awards will be announced at a Champagne reception, sponsored by Piper & Charles Heidsieck Champagne, on 19 May, at 18.00.
