Vigano resigns from BVI marketing post

Adriano Vigano, vice president of international marketing for Buena Vista International (BVI), has resigned from his position to return to his native Switzerland, it was announced by Mark Zoradi, president of BVI.

Vigano will leave BVI, where he has been supervising international theatrical marketing since May 1994, before the end of this month. He advised the company of his personal decision two months ago.

"My family and I have made the very difficult decision to return to Switzerland after spending two years here in the US because of certain lifestyle choices," Vigano said. "We were at a crossroads where we had to make a long-term commitment to living in the States or return to Europe while our infrastructure there is still in place. Due to family considerations, I've chosen the latter."

Vigano moved to BVI's Burbank headquarters from his position as vice president and general manager of BVI Switzerland. He joined the company and set up the Swiss office in 1992, when BVI returned to independent distribution.

In commenting on Vigano's accomplishments Zoradi said that he "has been a significant contributor to BVI's overall success over the last two years. He will be missed by all of us as both a key executive and a friend."
