With this CD-ROM the visitor will encounter every star that took part in the world renowned Cannes Film Festival from 1946 to present day. The visitor will discover the career history of stars, the prestigious hotels, the rumours, the events, the anecdotes which punctuated this extraordinary festival as well as more than 4 000 films presented and awarded in Cannes. The release of this CD-ROM is expected in the beginning of April 1996.

The user will discover the atmosphere of blockbusters associated with cinema. Almost 30 minutes of big screen videos, more than 2 000 splendid photos, of which a certain number have never been seen before, numerous animations, captivating texts, everything that works towards the show.

With the Star Quiz, you try to guess who attended the Cannes Festival on a certain year, who walked up the steps, who left the Carlton with who, who acted in such-in-such a film. The Star Quiz will allow each person to discover, rediscover and memorise all the events which marked the history of cinema. All of the 4 000 films presented and awarded in Cannes and more than 10 000 people made reference to in the programme are accessible at any moment with the complete "hypermedia navigation". This can be done on the film page by the user, by clicking on the actors in order to visualize their page and their filmography in Cannes and then click on a film on this list... to discover the limitless richness of the database.

Direct access to the first worldwide server of film festivals

With a simple, almost magical click, the user finds himself on our Web server on the Internet and can discover all the great film festivals around the world including a daily update of news about the Cannes Film Festival. Once the Festival has ended the user will be able to update his CD-ROM.
