The spirit of T-RIFF is one of friendship
and universal cooperation and exists to promote discovery of the
new generation of filmmakers. Its aim is to unveil and raise awareness
of quality films both as an art form and a catalyst for positive
social change in order to enrich the motion picture arts throughout
the world.

ABOUT THE
FESTIVAL:
T-RIFF is one of the fastest growing film festivals in the
USA and the most spectacular social affaire of the year, winning
Best Arts and Culture Event two years running, 2005 & 0,6 voted
by the Lake Tahoe Community. The winning combination of its superior
world-class cinema, sassy themed parties, and the dazzle of celebrities
captivates thousands of willing visitors and locals annually.
This year, 2007, marked a milestone as
T-RIFF reveled in the middle of a bidding war over which Lake Tahoe community would
win our glamorous event for its high impact tourist economy it brings
to Tahoe each year. AND THE WINNER IS: South Lake
Tahoe located in Nevada and California.
In 2006 T-RIFF hosted the World Premiere of the most sought after
film in 2007, THE SECRET. It is now number one on the New York Times
and Amazon Best Seller Lists and was recently featured on Oprah,
TWICE. Also in our lineup was RECYCLED LIFE, an academy award nominee
for 2006 in the short documentary category. T-RIFF has unveiled
many equally important works from the motion picture arts.
FESTIVAL LOCATION:
From the beauty of our location, an International Treasure, Lake Tahoe, to the sizzle
of our 24 hour night life and casino gaming, there is something
here for everyone in the family. Our Festival is surrounded by a
national forest, state parks and the largest alpine lake in North America. We live in
a mecca of outdoor activities that include
sailing, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, golf, and winter sports.
The scenic drive around the lake is considered by many, the most
magnificent in America, a filmmakers'
dream.

A BRIEF HISTORY
OF T-RIFF:
Our offices are headquartered in a multimillion
facility funded by the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation. T-RIFF is
one of 11 non-profit organizations chosen to be housed in this model
collaborative project for the world, the first of its kind in the
nation. Operating since1999, we have produced a multitude of ground-breaking,
highly regarded educational events in the literary and multimedia
arts. T-RIFF holds ongoing screenings, screenwriting courses, filmmaking
classes, TV Production workshops, owns and operates Lake Tahoe Public
TV. T-RIFF grew 500% in 2005 and will more than double in size leading
up to and during the 2007 Festival.
