The WIN Film Festival:

Sunday, November 1 through Tuesday,
November 3, 2009 in Los Angeles, California USA.

(Formerly Known as The WINFemme Film Festival)

 

The WIN Film Festival: Closing Night Party November 3rd Honors announces festival winners honoring select
unreleased and independent films.

 

The year 2009 marks WIN’s sixth
(non-consecutive) film festival. The WIN Film Festival supports filmmakers who
create dimensional female media images and/or female filmmakers who create work
in a largely male dominated industry.

 

The Films:

WIN programs films which either
depict dimensional female protagonists or films that are directed,
written or produced by a woman. WIN selects shorts (20 minutes or less),
documentaries or full-length narrative feature films.

 

Festival programmers project short,
feature, documentary films either on 16mm, 35mm or DVD. The selection criterion
includes films which feature female protagonists OR films that are
written, directed OR produced by a woman.

 

THE WIN AWARDS: On Monday, November 2nd Women’s Image
Network presents competing awards to established film and television artists.
The WIN awards also present A WOMAN OF THE YEAR tribute to an invited honoree.

 

History:

Women's Image Network will hold The WIN
Film Festival around The WIN Awards an annual Hollywood
event which honors released studio films and broadcast network shows that
either feature a female protagonist or which are directed or produced by a
woman.

 

THE WIN FILM FESTIVAL 2009 is a production of Women’s Image Network (WIN), which was held from 1999
through 2002 in Los Angeles and New York as The WINFemme
