thepeoplesfilmfestival's blog Call for Submissions
The People's Film Festival (TPFF) is currently accepting film submissions.
The People's Film Festival will occur on May 30 – June 1, 2013 in New York City. It is comprised of film screenings, panel discussions, and The People's Awards, which celebrates the winners in each film category. The festival will showcase the work of emerging, producers, videographers and filmmakers reflecting both traditional and avant-garde style films on one screen.
We're looking for narratives, features, shorts and documentaries films with an emphasis on films that integrate multiple digital platforms using today's new media & technology. Last year we’ve included an outlet for films about the Worldwide Occupy Wall St Movement (WWOWS) and this year we will continue that category.
The deadlines to submit U.S. & international films for the 2013 The People's Film Festival are as follows:
Submission Deadlines:
Early Submission Deadline: Film must be postmarked by December 21, 2012
Regular Film Submission Deadline: Film must be postmarked by, February 1, 2013
Late Film Submission Deadline: Film must be postmarked by February 20, 2013
For film submissions fees and information, please go to www.thepeoplesfilmfestival.
The Peoples Film Festival (TPFF) is a showcase of extraordinary films that use various different media formats to produce quality films.
TPFF celebrates the power of the media when placed in the hands of the people. Whether it is a protest, or powerful clip shot in the most extreme conditions, these stories matter to us. Our objective is to level the playing field while giving the everyday videographer and independent producer alike, the same opportunities to debut their work on the big screen.
Our main focus is on content, the apparatus used, the technology and delivery. We are looking for full-featured films, shorts, narratives, and documentaries.
This event is open to the people.
