The 18th annual Savannah Film Festival, presented by the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), continued its sixth day of celebrating cinematic creativity in film. Highlights included: Actress and Director Meg Ryan received the Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by SCAD President and Founder Paula Wallace. The festival also screened her new film "Ithaca" where Ryan, along with cast and crew participated in a Q&A. "Coming Through The Rye" Director James Steven Sadwith and Alex Wolff (actor), Stefania Owen (actress) attended the screening of the film. Pete Horner, sound designer for "Jurassic World" participated in a discussion called "The Emotional Language of Film." Additionally SCAD screened "Ovation for Oscar" followed by a panel discussion with Ryan Curtis (director), Tyler M. Reid (producer), Zach Graber (cinematographer) and Sloane Mayberry (SCAD fashion marketing and management student).

From “Coming Through the Rye” Alex Wolff (actor), Stefania Owen (actress) and James Steven Sadwith (director).

WHAT: Meg Ryan received the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by SCAD President Paula Wallace. Ryan attended the screening of her film “Ithaca” at

Trustees Theater. The film “Coming Through the Rye” will also screen at Lucas Theatre.

The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) presents the 2015 Savannah Film Festival, which celebrates cinematic creativity from award-winning professionals and emerging filmmakers. The 18th annual festival, held in downtown Savannah, Georgia, runs from Saturday, Oct. 24, to Saturday, Oct. 31.
