WHO: Saoirse Ronan (“Brooklyn”) joined SCAD for a special Q+A, moderated by The Hollywood Reporter’s Scott Feinberg, as part of the Savannah Film Festival's Conversation Series following a screening of “Brooklyn.” Also in attendance were SCAD President and Founder Paula Wallace; FOX Searchlight Pictures President Nancy Utley; actor Alexander Skarsgård; fashion model Alexa Chung; and “Dixieland” director Hank Bedford.

Earlier in the evening, the Docs to Watch Director’s Roundtable, returning for a second year, took place at the Lucas Theater, moderated by Scott Feinberg of The Hollywood Reporter. The directors are behind nine of the top must-see documentaries from this year, as well as those gaining award season attention. The directors in attendance were Asif Kapadia (“Amy”); directors Morgan Neville and Robert Gordon (“Best of Enemies”); director Bobcat Goldthwait (“Call Me Lucky”); director Matthew Heineman (“Cartel Land”); director Kirby Dick (“The Hunting Ground”); director Geeta Patel (“Meet the Patels”); director Liz Garbus (“What Happened, Miss Simone”); Evgeny Afineevsky (“Winter on Fire”); and director Crystal Moselle (“The Wolfpack”).

WHAT: The Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) presents the 2015 Savannah Film Festival, which celebrates cinematic creativity from award-winning professionals and emerging filmmakers. The 18th annual festival, held in downtown Savannah, Georgia, runs from Saturday, Oct. 24, to Saturday, Oct. 31.
