English actor Alfie Evan James Allen (29) is internationally known for portraying Theon Greyjoy in the HBO series Game of Thrones. Before the monster success of Game of Thrones, his career began in 1998 on British TV's Channel 4 comedy You Are Here. While his success has been from his acting in TV series, he has appeared in such films as Atonement (2007), Soulboy (2010), The Kid (2010), Freestyle (2010), Powder (2011) and Confine (2013).

Alfie recently appeared as special guest at the 18th Savannah Film Festival where SCAD President and Founder Paula Wallace presented him with a Rising Star Award.

When I asked if he preferred TV acting to film, he replied: "The last thing I did was the BBC series but that was Stephen Poliakoff, which was a continuation of Dancing on the Edge. Viral is a movie I did in LA which is going to come out soon. Then there is Game of Thrones, of course. It's kind of the golden age of TV at the moment so there are so many different avenues and so many amazing things being created so that it's kind of another playing field isn't it?"
