Norwich Film Festival

We are a UK short film festival which aims to deliver inspiring events that are both bold and imaginative. We champion new methods of storytelling and hope to encourage new filmmakers. Through our open submissions process we support local filmmakers as well as those from all across the globe, providing a platform for new and existing talents to showcase their amazing work in Norwich.

There are five competitive categories here at the Norwich Film Festival with prizes for this year’s festival. As we are a short film festival, please note, all films must be under 25 minutes long. Any films longer than 25 minutes will not be accepted.

2017 Competition

Short Film – Any film 25 minutes or under. Any genre, any style. Top Prize £250.

Animated Film – Any animated film 25 minutes or under. Any genre, any style. Top Prize £250.

Documentary Film – Any documentary film 25 minutes or under. Any genre, any style. Top Prize £250.

Student Film – Any film, any genre, any style, made (or predominantly made) by students. 25 minutes or under. Top Prize £250.

The East Anglian Award – Any film 25 minutes or under which was made in the East of England. This regional award will cover the areas of Norfolk, Suffolk, and Cambridgeshire. These films are any genre, any style. Top Prize £250

Also all of 2017 winners will receive a Norwich Film Festival Award Certificate and priceless industry feedback from our judges.
