Monomyth Enchantment

Despite being a successful software company entrepreneur, Manoj always had a strong passion for film-making. His love for language and technology, made him a pioneer of several language technologies in India. Newspapers such as The Hindu, Business Times, Economic Times, India Today have written about Manoj, his company and products. The Week magazine described Manoj as one of the persons who changed the software landscape in India. Manoj has been an indispensable part of several state, national and international committees for Information Technology.

Manoj was also the director for Media Lab Asia, a PSU under the Department of IT, Government of India. Manoj brings the same passion and work ethic to the process of filmmaking. Being a recent graduate of the New York Film Academy, he is all set for this venture, Get Happy.

Get Happy Synopsis.
Charlie Kane is a perpetually miserable man who finally finds happiness when he starts dating Holly, an incessantly optimistic girl who teaches him to look on the bright side of life. When their relationship ends, Charlie falls into an even deeper despair. Fed up with his wretched existence, he decides to just get happy, as Holly taught him. His new positivity brings success and fulfillment, much to the dismay of Bobby, his cynical best friend who doesn’t buy into this new found happiness. With the help of a dour barista, Bobby sets out to wipe the smile off Charlie’s face and bring him back to reality.

Winner best romantic-comedy film at the 2015 Manhattan Film Festival

The Manhattan Film Festival is dedicated to developing and discovering new ways to help filmmakers pursue a career out of filmmaking. In the process we introduce filmmakers and their work to new and expanding audiences. The festival was founded by independent filmmakers who learned first hand how hard it is to find an independent film an audience. MFF was recently named among “The Coolest Film Festivals in the World″ as well as “25 Film Festivals Worth the Entry” by MovieMaker Magazine.

Since our inception we have launched unique and creative programs aimed to help filmmakers succeed. One of these is our widely popular Filmmaker Revenue Sharing Program. More recently we launched “Pitch to the Pros.”The festival is covered by local, national, and international media including television, newspaper, magazine, and web outlets including the New York Times, Good Morning America, Good Day New York, and Vogue.
