For the second year, the Industry Office of the Festival del film Locarno is organizing Step In. The initiative is designed as an exchange platform in which new strategies for distribution, exhibition and sales of auteur cinema are discussed and developed in closed working sessions. While the 2012 event focused on the specific challenges of distribution and exhibition in Eastern and Central Europe, this year’s program broadens its regional scope to include additional European territories. After a panel on the Russian market, sales agents, distributors, exhibitors and funders from all over Europe will discuss some key issues of the European market.
