NIFFF ON TOUR@CERN: FUTURE STORYWORLDS, NOVEMBER 24 & 25

As part of NIFFF ON TOUR, and in close collaboration with CineGlobeTHE Port at CERN, and the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), as well as with the support of the Pro HelvetiaArts Council, the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF) has the pleasure of unveiling the winners of the call for projects selected by our partners. Said call aims at promoting visionary stories on themes related to science fiction and the existential risks linked to the technological development of society. The finalists will be offered the chance to partake in Future Storyworlds on November 24–25 at the CERN. This one-of-a-kind workshop in Switzerland will focus on writing for immersive media and offer a forum for exchange and reflexion between Swiss creators and international experts. Future Storyworlds will thus help flesh out the selected projects with scientific expertise, and interactive narrative mentoring (for video games, augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, 360°experiences, and so on).

The foremost scientists, researchers and storytelling specialists will be able to monitor candidates personally.

The selected projects are the following:

  • Dominus from Vincent de Vevey - HEAD, Geneva
  • Food 21 from Benoît Renaudin - HEAD, Geneva
  • Generation Space from Fritz Muri - Fmquadrat, Zürich
  • Polder - The series from Samuel Schwarz – Digitalbühne, Zürich
  • Reya's Journey from Pilar Anguita-MacKay - Olympia Films, Lausanne
  • The day we became aliens from Salômé Guillemin - HEAD, Geneva
  • The love of parenthood from Marion Delavelle - HEAD, Geneva

In the end, the most promising project will be chosen by the panel of experts, and CHF 3,000 will be allocated to its development.

The final list of attending guests is as follows:
