homochrom

Filmfest homochrom is one of the youngest, but already one of the largest of 25 LGBT festivals in Germany. It takes place in Germany's gay capital Cologne as well as in Dortmund each year in October. It has audience awards for feature and short films. As the festival is paired with a monthly cinema series (Filmreihe homochrom) in six cities of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan area from Cologne to Dortmund, the film festival focuses on new international films and premieres. It is funded by a state ministry, the cities of Cologne and Dortmund as well as the state's film fund Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.

Several directors and actors will be attending the festival and audiences will decide on the awards "Chromie".
