Mission Statement

Fresh Takes empowers youth from diverse San Mateo County communities to express themselves through Media Arts Production with an emphasis on self awareness, media literacy, civic engagement, community involvement, social change, and artistic excellence.  In addition we offer affordable high caliber classes for all ages that are taught by working professionals and masters of their craft as an alternative option to expensive and time consuming colleges and universities.

Vision

The vision at Fresh Takes, Inc. is that:

• Youth engage in their communities while having their voices heard on issues of concern and topics they are passionate about.
• Youth connect with their sense of purpose while expanding their creativity and developing their leadership skills.
• A diverse and inter-generational group of independent media makers create media that delivers messages that matter to them, their communities, and affects positive change for society at large.
• Equal access to technology for Media Arts production and distribution is provided regardless of socio economic or ethnic backgrounds.
