Film Fest 919 (FF919) was created to celebrate the best in independent cinema and cuisine by introducing a unique and varied spectrum of international films and filmmakers to the communities of the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Triangle region of North Carolina. FF919 works to showcase juried and audience award-winning feature films from festivals all around the world, as well as notable filmmakers that express fresh voices and global perspectives.

FF919 will not only be dedicated to exhibiting these films but also to engage with the culinary arts attributed to the emerging Triangle.  Film Fest 919 aspires to highlight the creativity found in both films and cuisine.

Celebrate the Inception of Film Fest 919 with a special screening of Sean Baker’s
THE FLORIDA PROJECT
and a conversation with special guest CHRIS BERGOCH, Writer/Producer.

6:00 – 7:00 pm   VIP Cocktail reception

7:00 – 7:15 pm  Welcome from festival founders, introduction of The Florida Project by the film’s writer and producer.

7:15 – 9:45 pm   Film presentation and conversation with Chris Bergoch, moderated by Veteran Film Critic and festival programmer, Claudia Puig

After Film Presentation and Q & A, party the night away with featured dishes from one of the regions beloved culinary artists.

Silverspot Cinema is proud to host the inaugural Film Fest 919 as it makes its debut in the Triangle area. We look forward to fabulous films and cuisine!

Silverspot showcases more than just traditional Hollywood fare with on-going programming including independent films, award-winning foreign films and a cultural arts program featuring ballets, concerts and a global opera series including The Met.  Special engagements include, local filmmaker screenings, meet and greets and Q&As with filmmakers and talent, specialty menus to coincide with relevant feature films and mini film festivals from within.
