San Diego Latino Film Festival (March 12-22 Simon Fashion Valley) announces spotlight films

The 22nd San Diego Latino Film Festival presented by Lexus, set to take place March 12-22 at the AMC Fashion Valley 18 at Simon Fashion Valley, is thrilled to announce several of its 2015 Spotlight Films, starring Kate del Castillo, Demián Bichir, Sandra Echeverría, Marimar Vega, and Sebastián Zurita, as well as an unforgettable profile of one of soccer’s greatest players from world renowned filmmaker Álex de la Iglesia. 

 

"We are truly excited to share the news of these selections for this year's festival," said Phillip Lorenzo, Exhibitions Director for the San Diego Latino Film Festival. “This announcement represents diversity on all levels, including genre, nationality represented, and the range of emotions our audience will experience.”

“These key selections from the festival should excite film lovers in San Diego for what's to come”, Lorenzo added.

Buenos Aires in the 1980s: Detective Chavez (DEMIÁN BICHIR), a family man and a tough cop, is tasked with solving an enigmatic murder.  As the mystery surrounding this crime deepens, Detective Chavez realizes he must trust an untested rookie of dubious intentions to solve the case.

Starring: Oscar-nominated actor Demián Bichir and Chino Darin.
