Dale Kay

Hi
My name is Dale. I am the CEO of Coastal Gold Inc.
ok, so what right? Here is what I do and maybe there is something I do that can help you or you me.
We do:
Place Television shows on the local channel in Southern California, mostly in the Antelope Valley area. That would be Lancaster, Palmdale and Quartz Hills, sever other small cites too, just to the North of Los Angeles. Along with those shows, we place commercials. When I say place, I really mean, we create them, film them, sound and on. All the stuff and details that go into doing something with a camera and mikes. Plenty of tech along with that. We also do live broadcasting, on the local channel and internet. Not only can I do this in my area, I can do this nation wide too. I just need a reason to do so. We can also place media on Direct TV, Dish and several other things that gets visual or audio out to the public including music.

We also do what is called Real Estate Investing. Fancy set of words that mean for us, we talk run down, broken up houses or buildings, fix them up for use again. The goal is to make them better, useful and to have them never get back in that state again.

In a long range plan, Coastal Gold Inc. will set up a microbrewery. yum ...

That is about it for Coastal Gold Inc. Me? I am also CEO for Antelope Valley Makerspace. A non-profit for kids to adults to learn how to use tech, job skills and even making a business out of it. We also work with Local Schools for STEM and Inventors. Inventors wise, we help them patent the idea and make that one of so they can start marketing it, we even help with that.

I also am the leading man for the band Inquisitor Betrayer. Keeping my ego out of it, I will let you research that and hear what my band does.

OK, so why are you here?

Oh, excellent question. I decided we needed a FILM FESTIVAL. I call it Antelope Valley Film Festival. Why? We have a lot of film makers out here and many, many indies and even those who want to get in the business. Being right above Hollywood, we are used a lot for many top movies over the histroy of film making. I thought, don't laugh too much, why not high light some of the people who have filmed in this area, been here, have some sceens done here and or lived here in the past or even have some work that mentions this area. All good for us all as we would like to get more activity in this area. Why not?

Right now we are in the planning stages. Grand prize is at $10,000 and if we get more interests, I expect that to climb as well as other prizes. As with any project, esp. those in planning, there will be updates and changes as we work this out. We do have a few local theaters in the area and they do require DCP format. We do have businesses in LA that will convert too. As any who have looked into this new format, you know, shoot it at 24fps ... What you see on your computer, is not going to be what you see on the big screen. If I have to convert from DVD, I know it's not going to look at good as it should if steps are not taken during the process. Yea, I know, another pain in the creative process. I deal with these things too.

So, any help is always welcomed and if I can help you, just ask.

Antelope Valley Film Festival, research mode

Working on a Sunday? yea, I am .. looking at the other film festivals, most many miles away and if they have been succesful in what they intended ... many seem not to update or maybe have not done much for this year?

Tough year for business.

Noted DCP formats required by some festivals.
