The Little Film Company announces today the acquisition of Klaus Härö’s touching drama THE FENCERThe Little Film Company announces today the acquisition of the latest feature from the highly-acclaimed, award-winning director Klaus Härö, THE FENCER (LETTERS TO FATHER JACOB, MOTHER OF MINE).
Härö’s touching drama THE FENCER, about love and a man who finds meaning in his life through children who need him, is written by Anna Heinämaa and stars Märt Avandi andß Ursula Ratasepp. The film is a Making Movies production, produced by Kai Nordberg and Kaarle Aho.
While escaping from the Russian secret police, an ambitious young Estonian fencer finds himself teaching young children in a remote small town. When the kids push for their fencing team to participate in the national fencing competition in Leningrad, he realises exactly what he wants to do with his life.
THE FENCER will screen on Saturday, 16 May, 10:00am in Riviera 3 and on Tuesday, 19 May, 12:00pm in Lerins 2.
