Film Mode Entertainment Brings
VIKING DESTINY
To the Shores of Cannes

IAN BEATTIE (Game of Thrones, ALEXANDER) joins new epic odyssey adventure
starring TERENCE STAMP as the film achieves multiple sales,
completes financing via Head Gear and begins principal photography

CANNES (May 19, 2017) – Film Mode Entertainment (FME) announces the attaching of Ian Beattie (Game of Thrones, ALEXANDER) to the cast of VIKING DESTINY, an epic odyssey adventure following the lives and legendary crusades of Scandinavian explorers and especially the first female Viking leader. FME is further pleased to announce that executive producer Phil Hunt, and his company Head Gear Films, have completed finance on Viking Destiny. “It will be the first film with sales vet Clay Epstein's Film Mode Entertainment and doubtless the first of many.” Said Hunt.

The film stars Terence Stamp (MISS PEREGUINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN, STAR WARS, VALKYRIE) with the rest of the cast to be announced shortly. Principal photography begins this month.

Film Mode Entertainment has closed deals on a number of territories already.

We are delighted to be working with Phil and his passionate team at Head Gear Films. Market interest has been incredible on what is sure to become an instant classic in the genre.  Distributors are going to be impressed with the film’s slick style and fresh take on the Viking world.” Said Clay Epstein, President of Film Mode Entertainment.

Film Mode Entertainment is representing worldwide rights on VIKING DESTINY and has already closed a multitude of sales including Blackhill for German Speaking Europe, Transmission for Australia and New Zealand, Falcon Films for The Middle East, and Minerva for Italy.

Stamp will play Odin, the Viking God of War and Wisdom. David L.G. Hughes (HARD BOILED SWEETS) is directing with Andee Ryder, of Misfits Entertainment producing (ALLEYCATS – which was recently released in the US by Film Mode Entertainment). The film has just moved into the production phase, shooting in Northern Ireland (UK).

VIKING DESTINY is about Princess Helle of Volsung who is forced to flee her kingdom after being framed for the murder of her father, the King. Under the guidance of a Viking God (Stamp) she travels the world gaining wisdom and building the army she needs to win back her throne of the Viking Kingdom. In order to seize her legacy, she must cultivate the predatory instincts of a hellcat and the skills of a ruthless warrior.

VIKING DESTINY is being produced by Andee Ryder (Misfits Entertainment) and David LG Hughes. Executive producers include Phil Hunt, Compton Ross, Kwesi Dickson and Clay Epstein. Tom Harberd is associate producer.

Andee Ryder, Producer at Misfits Entertainment says: “We’re delighted to be working with such a fantastic team that now includes the incredible talent of Ian Beattie, and to a forthcoming announcement of our additional cast. Collectively they bring a wealth of talent and experience to this epic adventure story, Viking Destiny, as we kick off production.”
