Dutch Features completes Cannes lineup with UK thriller SUNSET CONTRACT

Sales agent Dutch Features Global Entertainment has picked up Marc Conen's feature debut SUNSET CONTRACT ahead of the Cannes Film Festival. In this modern folktale, social media CEO Brad (Peter Nicholas) meets the Devil herself in his beautiful new beach villa. She confronts him with a contract he can't remember agreeing to. Deadline: sunset.

An avid film lover, Marc Conen switched from engineering to independent filmmaking in 2006 and founded the production company Indiepend Pictures together with business partner/actor Peter Nicholas. They wrote, produced and distributed their first international English short film HIGH TEA (2011) independently, which ran at international film festivals around the world making its way into the in competition shortlist of the Palm Beach Film Festival in 2012.

SUNSET CONTRACT

SILK ROAD

SUNSET CONTRACT is the first English language production represented by Dutch Features and completes their exciting lineup, which also includes SILK ROAD directed by Mark de Cloe and starring emerging actress Olivia Lonsdale, who won the Da Vinci Award for Best Acting Performance Female at the Milano International Film Festival for her role in this Dutch thriller earlier this month, and the new comedy from the makers of NEW KIDS RON GOOSSENS: LOW BUDGET STUNTMAN, which achieved a Golden Film status (100.000+ visitors) in the Netherlands. Other highlights are the feature versions of Dutch high-end drama series MEYER'S LAW, based on a true story about the rise and fall of a renowned criminal defense law firm built by a man who survived Auschwitz and the gripping contemporary THE SWELL exploring what happens when the national flood defences of The Netherlands and Belgium start to collapse, as well as tv movie THE BODY COLLECTOR, about a successful journalist who attempts to find the truth behind the multimillionaire art collector, Nazi and war criminal Pieter Menten.

CEO Pim van Collem: “I am very thrilled about our diverse and attractive lineup of award-winning drama for the Marche du Film 2017. Not only are we presenting our first English language thriller and other sought-after new titles, but Dutch Features - known for its focus on premium drama series - will be presenting feature versions of our latest top thrillers and crime series to international distributors.”

Dutch Features CEO Pim van Collem and his team will attend the Cannes Film Festival from May 17th – 23rd.
