As always, the Marche du Film is located in the Palais des Festivals. Only after treading through the melee of tourists and cinema lovers gathered outside trying to obtain tickets and in queuing to see films, one can enter the main entrance.
Down the stairs past the Business Center and Short Film Corner, one will start to see specific country booths representing their cinema.
Most other production, sales and distrubution companies have booths in the Riveria, accessible by passing through the Palais and going up the stairs. There are more companies in Lerins, another smaller level on the floor above as well. They focus on selling their films, showing clips and making distribution deals.
Outside the Palais, from the back along the shoreline in the direction of the red carpet lies the Village International, groupings of representatives and companies from many different countries. Most countries have their own Pavillion, several of them lucky enough to be facing the water, giving them a a view of the ocean and sand outside their door. Most countries use these pavillions to join together with other reperesentatives from their country in order to network and promote themselves in terms of its films, filmmakers and the region.
