Berlinale 67th edition Winners revealed

The Berlinale 67th edition has come to an end and announced it's winners on Saturday, February 18, 2017.

Hungarian film drama "On Body and Soul" by Ildikó Enyedi, received the Golden Bear for best film. The film is set in a slaughterhouse in Budapest, where two people Mária and slightly older boss Endre, discover the realm of emotions and physical desire, at first individually and then together.

The members of the 2017 International Jury, led by Dutch director Paul Verhoeven, with Dora Bouchoucha Fourati, Olafur Eliasson, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Julia Jentsch, Diego Luna, Wang Quan’an, awarded several prizes to international filmmakers.

"Félicité" by Senegalese director Alain Gomis, wins the Silver Bear Grand Jury Prize, film about a strong and independent woman who works as a singer in a bar in Kinshasa to raise money for her son's operation that suffered a terrible accident.

The Silver Bear Alfred Bauer prize for a feature film went to Agnieszka Holland in cooperation with Kasia Adamik for the murder mystery “Spoor.”

Finish director Aki Kaurismäki earns  Best Director for "The Other Side of Hope" about a young Syrian refugee in Helsinki.

Kim Min-hee picks up Best Actress for South Korean drama "On The Beach At Night Alone", while Georg Friedrich wins the best actor award for his performance in German drama “Bright Nights.”

The Panorama Audience Awards went to "Insyriated" and "I Am Not Your Negro".

In case you missed this year's edition, the Berlin International Film Festival will be held next year from February 15 to 25, 2018.
