The hilarious British science-fiction comedy from Directors Phil Thompson and David Hollinshead, Essex Spacebin, has been acquired for World-Wide distribution by Troma Entertainment Inc., it was announced today by Lloyd Kaufman, prexy of Troma Entertainment and creator of The Toxic Avenger.
Producer Chelmsford Film Society, the creators of DIY dystopian dramas Biscuit Armageddon, Crisp Chronicles, Changheads and Robocop Minus 1, have spent the last three years lovingly creating their first full-length feature film shot on 35 mm stock, some of which was bought from NASA!

The film tells the story of a mother searching for the fabled "Essex Wormhole", a portal to another galactic dimension. It's a deadly quest that she, her family and the audience may never mentally recover from.
The cast includes high-profile actors who have appeared in classic action, fantasy and horror films. Joerg Stadler (Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Hannibal Rising, Revolver, Spy Game, Saving Private Ryan and Soldier Soldier) shines as the star-man looking for the "Essex Wormhole" portal in order to make his way back to his home-world. Ian Stuart Robertson (The Wicker Tree, The Bill and Casualty) and Phelim Kelley (London Heist) co-star in this one of a kind comedy.
