Hot, Hilarious, Galactic!

"Essex Spacebin"  Official Trailer

London World Premiere

Theatrical Release

February 18, 2017

at The Prince Charles Cinema!

with an appearance from the filmmakers

and Lloyd Kaufman!

The hilarious British science-fiction comedy from Directors Phil Thompson and David Hollinshead, Essex Spacebin, has been acquired for World-Wide distribution by Troma Entertainment Inc.,  it was announced today by Lloyd Kaufman, prexy of Troma Entertainment and creator of The Toxic Avenger.

Producer Chelmsford Film Society, the creators of DIY dystopian dramas Biscuit Armageddon, Crisp Chronicles, Changheads and Robocop Minus 1, have spent the last three years lovingly creating their first full-length feature film shot on 35 mm stock, some of which was bought from NASA!

"What if all this stuff about portals to other worlds, ancient keys, inter-dimensional maps, citadel priests in the form of robot animals and aliens walking among us is actually real?"

ask filmmakers Phil Thompson and David Hollinshead,

"that is an unsettling truth most people openly try to avoid."

The film tells the story of a mother searching for the fabled "Essex Wormhole", a portal to another galactic dimension. It's a deadly quest that she, her family and the audience may never mentally recover from.

The cast includes high-profile actors who have appeared in classic action, fantasy and horror films. Joerg Stadler (Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Hannibal Rising, Revolver, Spy Game, Saving Private Ryan and Soldier Soldier) shines as the star-man looking for the "Essex Wormhole" portal in order to make his way back to his home-world. Ian Stuart Robertson (The Wicker Tree, The Bill and Casualty) and Phelim Kelley (London Heist) co-star in this one of a kind comedy.

Early reviews to the initial previews have produced rave responses such as,

"Truly genius comedy, brilliant characters ... kept me interested all the way through."

-Dionne Farrell Postroom, BFI

"The ending is a triumph, absolutely perfect and incredibly funny. You've created something very very strange, and completely unique."

-Mike Bollen, Legendary YouTube comedian Cassetteboy, 2016

"Essex Spacebin will send you into another dimension."

-Tim Noakes

Troma Entertainment Inc. has just announced a London World Premiere Theatrical Release for the film, which will be held at The Prince Charles Cinema on February 18th, 2016, with an appearance by Lloyd Kaufman and the filmmakers.

Also, coming soon from Troma Entertainment Inc. is a Special Edition Blu-Ray Release featuring exclusive, never before seen highlights, deleted scenes and other director's cut content from the portal of Essex Spacebin!
