Studio 100 Film takes a new film into its sales portfolio and presents “Mia and me – The Movie” at this year’s AFMStudio 100 Film takes a new film into its sales portfolio and presents “Mia and me – The Movie” at this year’s AFM at Loews Office #653. The feature film will continue to tell Mia’s adventures and adds a new chapter to her phenomenal success story. The movie is currently in development and planned to hit cinemas in 2020. “Mia and me – The Movie” will be produced by m4e, Hahn & m4e Productions and Flying Bark Productions. Studio 100 Film is the sales agency for the worldwide rights.
Mia’s tale began when her parents mysteriously disappeared after a terrible accident. They were presumed dead and Mia was sent to a boarding school close to Florence in Italy. But Mia found no peace there: Together with her new friends Paula and Vincent she had to assert herself against nasty classmates. One day she discovered an amazing secret: From her parents Mia inherited an ancient book and a magical bracelet that allows her to enter the magical world of Centopia. There, Mia is an elf and the only one who can understand and talk to the unicorns. In the fairytale realm she finds friends among the fantastical creatures. Always at her side are her best friends, the elves Yuko and Mo, the unicorn Onchao and the pan Phuddle. The upcoming movie tells another exciting adventure of Mia: She has to stand up against a monstrous evil toad. Toxor threatens Centopia and seeks to make it his personal poisonous pit. On top of that he holds the key to her parents' mysterious disappearance…
Till today three seasons of the series tell Mia’s adventures in the real world and in the fantastic world of Centopia with her elf and unicorn friends. Another season is already in development. “Mia and me” is so far sold to more than 80 territories and reached the first position among girl’s TV shows in many of them. Special about it is the combination of live-action sequences in the real world with the main storyline always taking place in the colourful, animated fantasy world of Centopia. “Mia and me®”, created by Gerhard Hahn, is a production of Hahn & m4e Productions GmbH – a joint venture between m4e AG and Gerhard Hahn. 04.11.2017 | American Film Market Dailies's blog Cat. : Animation
