NEW CAST ON SHADOW GIRL Now Starring  OLIVIA THIRLBY, ALAN RITCHSON and MEGAN FOX

The magical romance SHADOW GIRL will now star Olivia Thirlby (The Stanford Prison Experiment, Dredd, Nobody Walks), Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), and Megan Fox (Transformers franchise, This is 40, "New Girl"). The film is written and directed by acclaimed director Claudia Myers (Fort Bliss, Kettle of Fish).  SHADOW GIRL is a magic-realist tale about an unlikely romance between two complete opposites. Thirlby stars as Holly, a young woman who has faded to the point of becoming (actually) invisible, until she meets the one man who can finally see her - Shane (Ritchson), a disgraced MMA fighter.  Myriad Pictures is handling worldwide sales excluding the US and Canada on the film, and will continue sales at the upcoming American Film Market.

SHADOW GIRL is a magic-realist tale about a young woman who has faded to the point of becoming invisible and must find her way back into the world. After more than a decade of solitude and making a living in the shadows as a paparazzi photographer, Holly meets the one man who can see her, Shane Blackwell, a disgraced MMA fighter working as a bouncer. Holly discovers that it was one of her tabloid photographs that caused his downfall, and that she must restore him to his former glory if she wants to regain a foothold in the world around her. With Shane, Holly awakens to love but also to the reality that she bears more responsibility for her fate than she ever imagined.

To bring authenticity to the film's fight scenes and to Ritchson's portrayal of an MMA fighter, the production will be working with leading MMA fighters and trainers.

SHADOW GIRL will be produced by Hipzee's Tara Sickmeier and Rob Baunoch III, and by Boundary Stone's Mark Schacknies and Khris Baxter, with Myriad's Kirk D'Amico serving as an executive producer.  Daylight Media will also produce.  Sickmeier and Baunoch are successful Broadway producers, whose most recent Broadway production "Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812" starring Josh Groban was nominated for 12 Tony Awards, the most of any show this year.  They also previously produced the Off-Broadway hit, HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL, which has had over 100 productions in the US and abroad in 2015 and 2016.
