Michael J. Fox's A.R.C.H.I.E. is selling for DDIJason Moring, president of Double Dutch International (DDI), has announced that Michael J. Fox's A.R.C.H.I.E. has been sold to the following distributors:
- Arc Entertainment for the U.S., - Programme Store for France, - Jigsaw for Australia, - California Filmes for Latin America - Prima Cinema for Indonesia
A.R.C.H.I.E. is written and directed by Robin Dunne (JUST FRIENDS, Sanctuary) in his feature-film directorial debut. The film is produced by Shayne Putzlocher, Glenn Paradis and Sara Shaak from Trilight Entertainment, and financed by Clairwood Capital Management.
In addition to Michael J. Fox, the movie stars Katherine Isabelle (AMERICAN MARY, GINGER SNAPS, FREDDY VS. JASON), and the director himself, Robin Dunne.
A.R.C.H.I.E. (Fox) is a robotic canine created by world-renowned roboticist Brooke Benton (Isabelle) to help those in need. Though he looks like a normal dog, he is anything but. He can talk and run at blinding speed, has super strength and x-ray vision. On the news of her research program being shut down by the military, Brooke helps Archie escape in the hopes of finding a family to care for him. Archie wonders into the small town of Deanewood where Isabel Sullivan has just moved to live with her uncle Paul (Dunne), the town's mayor and owner of Lord of Fries, Deanewood's best burger-joint. Feeling very alone, Isabel struggles to find friends until she meets Archie. As Isabel and Archie's paths connect, they find a bond and become fast friends while helping out uncle Paul and his race to retain his mayoral supremacy.
The Arc Entertainment deal was negotiated by Scott Moesta on behalf of Arc Entertainment and DDI's Jason Moring on behalf of the filmmakers. Arc is planning an April 2016 release.
"A great start to the market for A.R.C.H.I.E. and DDI," says DDI's Moring. A.R.C.H.I.E. - official trailer featuring Michael J. Fox from Java Post Production on Vimeo.
