Examine the future of news: Amsterdam, 15-16 November.

The content this year will be amazing. And, there is more to News Xchange that we want you to know about. Here are just three of the great features of this year's event.

Opening Dinner Reception at the Rijksmuseum
Tuesday, 14 November

The NOS, The City of Amsterdam and The Rijksmuseum welcome this year's News Xchange delegates to a very special evening. You will be welcomed aboard a small fleet of historic boats which will take you to the Rijksmuseum...via the famous Amsterdam canals. All guests will have access to the Dutch national treasure, Rembrandt's “Night Watch” in the museum's central Gallery of Honor.

Wednesday Evening Cocktails...and some seriously cool stuff
Wednesday, 15 November

On Wednesday evening, AFP will generously host a cocktail reception at the Beurs (our venue). We'll enjoy our cocktails, including some very special Dutch gin, and sample wonderful Dutch food specialities.  Then...something new for those who wish to stay longer and keep the party going. It's Gin & Technics.

First, a screening of "I Am Rohinga" (duration: 8 minutes). Produced by Contrast VR, Al Jazeera Media Network’s new immersive studio, I Am Rohingya is the first virtual reality documentary on the Rohingya refugee crisis and ethnic cleansing in Myanmar. Editorial Lead Zahra Rasool will join us!

Then, from Hashtag Your Stories, journalists Yusuf and Sumaiya Omar will engage us in a fun and interactive evening about what's cool, what's new, what's happening in the wild west of selfie journalism. Ask questions. Get the skinny on Snapchat. Have fun!

Workshops

We have amazing workshops planned this year, open to all registered News Xchange delegates.

Wednesday

Facebook: Getting the most out of video! Review how video is growing on Facebook and learn from the experts about opportunities to build audiences, earn revenue and innovate using video on demand, Facebook Live and 360.

Thursday
Storyful: Understanding the practicalities of disinformation -- Learn how disinformation spreads, how reporting on it can help journalists, and how preventive measures can positively affect the business of news.
